The Sudbury & District Quilting and Stitchery Guild (SDQSG) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1975 by a group of quilters and stitchers with the following goals:
- to provide a forum for quilters and needleworkers to meet and exchange ideas to work on community projects
- to form a vehicle to bring in qualified experts for seminars and workshops
- to put on the best quilt and stitchery show possible every three years
The Guild meets every Tuesday evening (September to April) at 7pm at the Parkside Center on Durham St. Membership is $30 per year, and includes access to weekly, weekend and year end workshops. Our library of books and trade publications is extensive, and we regularly work on community projects through our Cuddle Quilt Program. Members also receive our monthly newsletter.
We welcome professional members, as well as beginners to the field. What began as a social group thirty five years ago has evolved into a venue for education and inspiration embracing all of the fibre arts.
