The Espanola YouTHeatre was formed in response to an identified need to continue to offer theatre training and experience to the young people of Espanola. Eight adults who make up the support production team and who have spent the last number of years producing theatre by and for young people, formed a new company which expanded the age range of eligibility from Grades 5 - 8 to Grades 5 - 12 and beyond. The season programming was expanded from just one production a year to include training classes and workshops in addition to the one main production.
The fall months will be devoted to training classes and workshops by both the adult Youtheatre production team as well as guest professional artists. After the winter-break a full length show will be cast and rehearsed for production in early spring.
Anyone, young person or adult, interested in being kept informed is asked to contact the Artistic Director for inclusion in email or snail mail postings.

For over thirty years the Sudbury Theatre Centre (STC) has been a vital cultural entity in the City of Greater Sudbury, providing patrons from the Northern region with a unique entertainment alternative. A true community-based theatre in every sense of the term, the STC was born out of a local movement to bring live professional theatre to the city that could best support it. From humble beginnings, today the STC can lay claim to being the only theatre of its kind between Sudbury and Thunder Bay. STC truly has it all, with a 289 seat auditorium, a fully-licensed lounge, dressing rooms, a rehearsal hall, a greenroom, wardrobe storage, an in-house workshop and administrative office space all located under one roof.
With a firm knowledge of the transformative and enlightening power of the performing arts, we at STC work diligently to entertain and educate theatre patrons by presenting award-winning productions that are emotionally powerful, socially conscious and uniquely reflective of the concerns and habits of northerners. The stories we tell absorb the heart and mind while gently confronting meaningful social and familial issues. We present honest plays that challenge, inspire and reflect the community’s needs.
The STC presents five outstanding main stage productions and one extra offering during its season, which runs September to May. The STC also offers adult acting and youth drama programs, and has become renowned for its unique youth-centered production program.
