Avenue Q
The naughty but oh so wonderful Broadway Musical Avenue Q hits the Sudbury Theatre Centre stage on April 24, with an extended run to May 11 (a few shows already sold out).
It’s Sesame Street meets South Park with adult situations and songs like “The Internet is for Porn”.  Bring your grandmother but leave your clergyman behind. Boasting enough foam rubber for everyone’s delight, Avenue Q tickles the anatomy.
Performance on Mother’s Day!  Call 705-674-8381 or book online.

YES THEATRE TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Jesus Christ Superstar and In the Heights coming this summer

Tickets are available now for YES Theatre’s Fifth Season which will see the company remount the sold-out production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and present the Northern Ontario debut of “In the Heights”.

The 2014 Season will open with the return of “Jesus Christ Superstar” from July 4 – 19 at the Sudbury Theatre Centre. Last summer, Jesus Christ Superstar sold-out sixteen consecutive shows prompting YES Theatre to restage the popular production this year. From musical theatre legends Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar follows the last days of Jesus Christ and is acclaimed and praised all around the world for one of the greatest rock scores ever written. The production will feature the original cast from the 2013 production.

For the first time, YES Theatre will be presenting two main stage musicals as the season continues with its production of “In the Heights” from August 8 – 23 at the Sudbury Theatre Centre. This musical tells the story of New York’s Washington Heights neighbourhood and boasts three generations of music. An immigrant story, In the Heights showcases a community on the brink of change, struggling with reconciling their past with their future. In the Heights is the winner of four Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestration.

Tickets are $28.50 for Adults, and $25 for Students/Seniors (plus applicable taxes and surcharges) and are available now by calling the Sudbury Theatre Centre Box Office at 705-674-8381 or purchase online at www.yestheatre.com.
